Peran Pekerja Sosial Terhadap Pembinaan Anak Usia Dini di Taman Penitipan Anak Dinas Sosial Kota Parepare

Abstract

This study examines the role of social workers in early childhood development in the Parepare City Social Service Child Care Park, the role of social workers in child care for the Parepare city social service, namely: 1) facilitative role, 2) educational role, 3) representational role, and 4) technical role. In the results of the study, it was found that these four roles had a significant effect on fostering children using authoritarian, democratic, and permissive patterns. Apart from Social Workers who play a role using these four roles, social workers are often referred to as carers or assistants for children, which is a multifunctional role. This shows that being a caregiver or companion is a role in which social workers position themselves as friends to children.
