Integrasi Aplikasi Roadroid Berbasis Smartphone dengan PCI dan SDI untuk Peningkatan Akurasi Penilaian Kondisi Jalan di Bundaran Waru
Abstract
This study evaluated road pavement condition of the Waru Roundabout segment in Surabaya. Integrating the Pavement Condition Index (PCI), the Surface Distress Index (SDI), and International Roughness Index (IRI) obtained through a digital smartphone application named Roadroid. The research aimed to develop a hybrid evaluation system to address the time-consuming and subjective nature of conventional manual road surveys. The study object spanned a total length of 810 meters, which was systematically divided into 81 segments of 10 meters each. The field survey revealed that the overall pavement condition was generally good to moderate, with loose aggregate and patching identified as the most dominant types of road distress. However, significant localized degradation was detected specifically at station 0+300 to 0+400. At this particular segment, the application recorded a sharp increase in the International Roughness Index to 9.02, which indicated a minor damage condition. This functional decline aligned with the structural evaluation, where the Surface Distress Index scored 115 and the Pavement Condition Index dropped to 47, placing the segment in the fair category. The results demonstrated that the utilization of the digital mobile application provided high efficiency and accuracy in mapping functional road roughness. This digital data was successfully validated by conventional methods, proving that the integrated hybrid approach successfully bridged previous research gaps and offered objective, scientific recommendations for road authorities to determine maintenance priorities effectively.
