IMPLEMENTASI ILMU EKONOMI PADA DINAS PEKERJAAN UMUM DAN PENATAAN RUANG (PUPR) KOTA PAREPARE
Abstract
Based on internship activities and field observations, the study identifies several challenges, including the limited use of economic analysis in budget formulation, insufficient coordination across divisions, and the inadequate utilization of economic data as a foundation for development program planning. Proposed solutions include strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing administrative digitalization, implementing competency-based task distribution, and applying evidence-based development planning. The findings indicate that economics plays a crucial role in improving government governance, particularly in supporting effective infrastructure development and public service delivery. Therefore, institutional capacity building and the integration of economic principles into every stage of planning and program implementation are essential to achieving regional development goals.
